The case of political scientist Abbas Gallyamov about “fakes” was opened due to an interview with Ukrainian journalists

The criminal case of political scientist Abbas Gallyamov on the spread of "fakes" about the Russian army (clause "d" part 2 of article 207.3 of the Criminal Code) was initiated because of an interview with Ukrainian journalists of the 1 + 1 TV channel, Network Freedom . reports

On April 9 last year, Gallyamov gave an interview on the Groshi YouTube channel (special project 1 + 1). The case itself was initiated on January 18, 2023.

As follows from the decision to initiate proceedings, Gallyamov disseminated "knowingly false information" about the crimes of Russian troops against civilians in Bucha and Kramatorsk.

“The civilian population of Ukraine was not and is not the object of attacks by the military personnel of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, any acts of violence or threats of violence are not allowed, attacks on the civilian population in the city of Bucha and a missile attack on the railway station in the city of Kramatorsk were not committed by Russian military personnel ", - is approved in the decision of the security forces.

According to the article about “fakes” imputed to Gallyamov, he faces up to 10 years in prison.

On March 24, the Ministry of Internal Affairs put Gallyamov on the wanted list. On February 10, the political scientist was declared a "foreign agent." Gallyamov, according to the Ministry of Justice, distributed materials of "foreign agents", spoke out against the war in Ukraine and was present as an expert and respondent on "information platforms provided by foreign structures."
