In St. Petersburg, the verdict of Hizri Yusupov was announced - 10 months of compulsory work. He secretly followed his ex -wife

The magistrate of the site No. 100 of St. Petersburg sentenced the Petersburger Hizri Yusupov to 10 months of forced work with a deduction of 10% of earnings in favor of the state. This is an almost maximum sentence of 1 part of Article 137 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of the inviolability of private life). As the press service of the courts of St. Petersburg notes, holding liable under this article increases from year to year.

As follows from the case file, Yusupov acquired two miniature camcorders from an unknown seller, which he secretly placed in the apartment of the former wife. In court, Yusupov claimed that he wanted to simply check how his ex -care cares about common children. However, he used the information received in order to “denigrate his ex -wife, to expose her in an unsightly light before the public.”

“With the development of technologies, electronic surveillance has become available not only to law enforcement agencies and special services, but also to ordinary citizens,” the candidate of legal sciences, lawyer Sergei Afanasyev comments on the situation. -And somehow the state is simply not able to counteract this. Yes, there is article 137 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - a violation of the inviolability of private life. And Article 138.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - illegal circulation of technical means intended for the unspoken receipt of information. But these articles provide simply ridiculous punishment, which will not be able to stop either private detectives collecting incriminating evidence for spouses, or even journalists trying to receive information.

At the same time, the United press service of the vessels of St. Petersburg notes that every year the number of criminal cases initiated under Article 137 is growing steadily.

In 2020, a decision was made on four cases on charges of a crime under Article 137 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. In 2021, there were already nine such cases, and in 2022-12.

“Such an exponent only proves that“ advanced ”people are increasingly using electronic surveillance methods and are sure that even if they are caught on this, they will only threaten a finger,” Afanasyev believes. - I believe that in this case, Russia should adopt the experience of some Asian countries, where intervention in private life is punishable not by 12 months of forced labor (this is the maximum term for this article), but by ten years of a maximum security colony. By the way, a serious punishment will greatly complicate the work not only of all sorts of paparazzi, but also to private detectives, which with impunity collect information constituting a personal secret. Tighten the punishment for this is simply necessary. Otherwise, any Russian will be similar to a bare person at the intersection.
