Members of the Public Monitoring Commission (POC) of Moscow visited the American journalist Evan Gershkovich, who was arrested in a case of espionage, in the Lefortovo detention center, Interfax reports .
“We visited Gershkovich, he has no complaints about his detention at Lefortovo. Bodr, during the conversation he joked a lot, ”the commission said.
Gershkovich is in a "quarantine" double cell, but he does not yet have a neighbor. “A neighbor can appear only after receiving a negative test for the presence of coronavirus,” the PMC explained.
Representatives of the commission added that Gershkovich's food in the pre-trial detention center "complies with established standards."
