The National Republican Army has claimed responsibility for the explosion in St. Petersburg that killed "war correspondent" Vladlen Tatarsky .
The statement of the “St. Petersburg column of the NRA” was published by the Telegram channel “Rospartizan”, and was also distributed by former State Duma deputy Ilya Ponomarev, who lives in Ukraine.
"We organized and carried out the action on April 2, 2023 against the Z-activists group and personally against the well-known arsonist and propagandist of war, war criminal Maxim Fomin, known as Vladlen Tatarsky. This action was prepared and carried out by us autonomously, and we have no connection and have not received assistance from any foreign structures, much less intelligence services," the organization said.
They emphasized that the action was not directed against civilians, and that "all victims are among the active supporters of the war." Representatives of the organization also called on Russian human rights activists to provide assistance to Daria Trepova, who was arrested in this case, and "other innocent people."
