The Joe Biden administration has announced that it will send another $2.6 billion military aid package to Ukraine.
As reported on the Pentagon website, in the near future the United States will provide Ukraine with ammunition for HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems, missiles for Patriot and NASAMS air defense systems, as well as anti-tank systems, small arms, and heavy equipment worth up to $500 million.
In addition, the package included air defense systems, artillery and tank ammunition, mortar systems, missiles and anti-tank systems worth $2.1 billion. They are ordered from American enterprises, but it is not clear when they will be delivered to Ukraine. The Pentagon report does not indicate how many shells Ukraine will receive.
Since the start of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, Washington has already provided more than $35 billion in military and other assistance to Kiev, the AP notes .
