
Starting from the new academic year, a discipline on countering “extremism, terrorism and corruption” will be introduced into the educational standards of universities. The new subject will appear in both bachelor’s and specialty programs, according to a statement from the Ministry of Education and Science.
It is planned to teach students “an intolerant attitude” towards manifestations of extremism, terrorism and corrupt behavior.”

The Ministry of Education and Science also noted that from September 1, admission and training of students will be carried out according to updated programs. They are expected to develop in students “conflict-free communication skills,” “the ability to defend their own opinions,” and the ability to “counteract socially dangerous behavior.”
