The Kostroma District Court imposed a fine of 10,000 rubles on a local resident who opposes the construction of a landfill. This is reported by the publication "Novosti 44" with reference to the press service of the court.

The court found the woman guilty under the article on organizing an uncoordinated action (part 2 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) due to the fact that she did not submit a notice of holding a public event to the city administration.

“Citizen B delivered a pre-prepared speech, led the process of a public event, uttered the slogans “No to the landfill”. As a means of visual agitation, the rally participants used posters with the inscription “No to the landfill!”, ”the court said in a statement.

The court took into account the financial situation of the woman and imposed a fine below the lower limit on her.
