Alexey Moskalev is in a pre-trial detention center in Belarus. From there he should be deported to Russia

Aleksey Moskalev, the father of a schoolgirl who drew an anti-war drawing, is in a pre-trial detention center in the city of Zhodino in Belarus. This is reported by the Daily Storm with reference to the Russian Foreign Ministry.

“As of April 4 this year, this citizen was transferred to the pre-trial detention center in the city of Zhodino, where he is awaiting a decision on deportation. It is assumed that A.V. Moskalev will be transferred to the Russian Federation to serve his sentence on the basis of a decision previously issued by the Efremov Interdistrict Court of the Tula Region, ”the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

Russian diplomats also said that Alexey Moskalev did not complain about his health, and the conditions of his detention "comply with the requirements of national legislation."

The persecution of Alexei Moskalev began after his sixth-grader daughter Masha drew an anti-war picture at school.

On March 28, 2023, the Efremov Interdistrict Court in the Tula Region sentenced Moskalev to two years in a penal colony in the case of “discrediting” the Russian army. The man was not present at the announcement of the verdict, he escaped from house arrest.

Moskalev was detained the next evening in Minsk and placed in a temporary detention center of the Smolevichi district department of internal affairs.

While the trial lasted, Moskalev's daughter was in a shelter in the Tula region for more than a month. Later, she was taken by her mother, who, according to lawyer Moskalev, did not communicate with the girl for about seven years.
