The FSB reported on the detention of an "agent of the Ukrainian special services" and his accomplice in the annexed Kherson region. According to the intelligence service, they collected information about the Russian army.
In particular, the FSB claims that the men collected information about the routes of movement and the types of Russian military equipment and weapons used, linked to maps of the area and geographic coordinates. They allegedly sent this data to employees of the Security Service of Ukraine.
“The information received was used by the SBU to transfer it to representatives of the paramilitary formations of Ukraine in order to correct artillery and missile and bomb attacks on the positions of the Russian Armed Forces,” the FSB press release says.
The FSB also released a video of the interrogation of one of the detainees. “I specifically sent [information] on the territory of the Chernobaev airport,” says the man in the footage.
Both citizens of Ukraine are now under arrest. Their names are not revealed. It is known that a case was opened against them under the article on espionage, the maximum punishment for which is 20 years in prison.
