“I absolutely disagree with today’s government policy.” A Perm United Russia deputy who opposed the war announced his early resignation

Perm United Russia deputy Sergei Zakharov announced the early resignation of his powers. He opposed the war, and in the fall of 2022 he left for Germany.

“We grew up on the slogan: “Peace to the world, war to war!”, Every year we went to demonstrations with posters “Peace, labor, May!”, And I’m not going to change my beliefs at someone’s whim. Therefore, I am not ashamed to look in the mirror in the morning. I absolutely do not agree with today's state policy and do not intend to participate in it, ”Zakharov wrote on his Instagram.

In the fall of 2022, Zakharov published several anti-war posts. In one of them, the deputy wrote: "He could become a great president of a great state, but will remain in history as a petty dictator of a poor country."

A couple of days later, he posted another post in which he stated that "everyone who supports the dictatorial regime is no less responsible than the dictator himself." For this, the Perm United Russia then offered to exclude Zakharov from their ranks.

Later, the deputy left for Germany. There, according to Zakharov, he studies business, German culture and literature.

According to Idel.realii, in Perm, Zakharov and his wife, a native of Germany, developed an inclusive Ars Vivendi workshop, as well as a store of the same name. There they sold handmade items made by people with disabilities.
