In Myanmar, the military dropped bombs on the office of an opponent of the junta and killed at least 53 people

On Tuesday, the military in Myanmar carried out two air raids on the area where the inauguration of the office of the enemy junta was taking place.

At least 53 people were killed by the bombs, and local residents fear that up to a hundred people could have been killed. 40 people were injured. There are children among the victims.

Amnesty International spokeswoman Montse Ferrer said it was urgent to suspend supplies of aviation fuel to Myanmar's military.

“Illegal air attacks that kill and injure civilians and destroy homes are the hallmark of the Myanmar army, which goes to the most inhumane measures to crush resistance and instill fear in the population,” Ferrer said.

The attack happened days before the Myanmar New Year festival.

The military junta that seized power in Myanmar in the spring of 2021 is dropping bombs on civilians to crush resistance to the military dictatorship. The regime in Myanmar is supported by Russia and China.
