The Syktyvkar City Court ordered a ban on certain actions by local resident V. Zadorozhny, accused of rehabilitating Nazism (Part 3 of Article 354.1 of the Criminal Code). This was reported by the press service of the court.
According to investigators, on April 12, a man, while intoxicated, extinguished the Eternal Flame with lemonade on the territory of the Eternal Glory memorial in honor of the Syktyvkar residents who died during the Great Patriotic War. By his actions, according to the security forces, Zadorozhny “insulted the memory of the defenders of the Fatherland.”
As reported by the Investigative Committee for Komi, who has been detained for 26 years, the investigation into his case continues.
