What exactly is the blocking is unknown. After the adoption of the new law on the ban on LGBT Propaganda, many authors of fan fictions from Russia transferred their work to this portal. In addition, the site publishes works related to the war in Ukraine.
After the start of a full -scale war in Ukraine, Roskomnadzor demanded that the media write about what was happening only with reference to official Russian sources. It was also forbidden for journalists to call the “Russian special operation” an attack, invasion or declaration of war. Otherwise, the supervisory authority threatened with locks and fines up to five million rubles.
On December 5, 2022, Vladimir Putin signed a law that provides for a ban on LGBTK-PAGANDA on the Internet, the media, literature, cinema and advertising. For violations of the law, administrative liability in the form of large fines is provided, and for foreigners and stateless persons - expulsion outside Russia. Films with a show of Quir-Cape will not receive rental certificates. Goods (including books) in which they will see such “propaganda”, will be banned for sale.
