"Undesirable" people. Vera Vasilieva - about political prisoners

The Russian authorities accuse the politics and journalist Vladimir Kara-Murza of three crimes at once . Firstly, this is the distribution of "fakes" about the army-for the performance in the House of Representatives of the state of Arizona of the United States with an anti-war position. Secondly, this is the implementation of the activities of an “unwanted” organization, this refers to the “open Russia” of the former owner of the company Yukos Mikhail Khodorkovsky, and the organization of the round table about modern Russian political prisoners. And thirdly, this is state treason. Prosecutor Boris Loktionov requires 25 years in prison. If you take out for the brackets for life terms in fabricated criminal cases (as, for example, the former Yukosovtsa Alexei Pichugin ) - fortunately, are not frequent, in any case - this is the punishment the longest in the practice of the latest Russian “justice”.

However, in this trial, everything remarkable and outstanding, starting from the prosecution and ending with the figure of the judge. The presiding judge Sergei Podopigorov is one of the first judges in the case of the auditor of Firestone Duncan Sergey Magnitsky, who died in the Sailor Silence of the SIZO. Podopigorov prolonged him with a preventive measure in the form of detention. The result was the painful death of Magnitsky in prison and the subsequent adoption by different countries of the act of his name, which was largely facilitated by Kara-Murza. I believe that it is unlikely that the appearance of this particular judge in the case of Kara-Murza turned out to be an accident. It was not possible to withdraw the subrigorov on the basis of possible bias, despite the efforts of the defense.

The state prosecutor of the locions, who demanded for Kara-Murza, without any metaphors and exaggeration, the Stalin's deadline, is also a bright person. He, among other things, was a state prosecutor in the first trial in relation to Pichugin’s political prisoner recognized by the “memorial” (Loktionov was subsequently replaced by Kamil Kashaev, who achieved a lifelong time for a former employee, having received the rank of general in 33). The announcement of the court decision on the Cais of Kara-Murza was appointed on Easter days. It is involuntarily recalled that the first sentence of Khodorkovsky and former head of Menatep Bank Platon Lebedev in the philistine court also had to sound on these holidays. But then the authorities seemed to be struck by the negative associations for itself, for a short while handed back, and the date was postponed. Now, it seems, there is nothing to be shy.

It seems that the state machine, which fell all its weight on Karaza, considers it its enemy. Actually, something similar was said in his speech by Loktionov himself. If we draw an analogy with "undesirable" organizations, in cooperation with one of which Kara-Murza is accused, then we can say about the "undesirable" people for the current Russian government.

They seem to include both Kara-Murza and the chairman of the Karelian Memorial historian Yuri Dmitriev , and politician Alexei Navalny, and others. But Navalny, with all the monstrous injustice of his fate, still a politician who had presidential ambitions, and what is happening to him, at least is understandable logically (at the same time absolutely unjustifiably and unreasonable). And about Dmitriev, let's say this can not be said. He receives one penalty after another, one placement in a schizo after another. Like Navalny, under far -fetched, obviously, pretexts. Then 15 days-the maximum possible period in the schizo- for being in the afternoon in the sleeping place (the elderly person became ill, he had his head and he sat on the bed), then the punishment for the cat on his bed on his bed ) ... Recently, the administration of the Mordovian colony IK-18 forced Dmitriev to agree to take the glasses in return for 20-p. Navalny, Dmitriev does not nourish presidential ambitions, does not seek to rule the country at all. But, just as a politician subjected to strict pressure behind bars, he raises extremely painful and undesirable topics for the authorities. For example, he talks about the executions of the victims of the Stalinist repressions during a large terror in the tract of Sandarmokh in Karelia. Or condemns the so -called special operation of Russia in Ukraine, opposes the illegal recruitment of prisoners in Wagner PMCs. Not far from the Sandarmokh tract is a bas -relief with the image of the angels and the words of Dmitriev: "People, do not kill each other!" After February 24, 2022, these symbols gained a new meaning and new relevance. “This is not about the gulag, but about the pain of my heart. And, as I understand it, not only mine,” Dmitriev shared with me in one of the letters.

Such as Kara-Murza, Dmitriev, Navalny-professing the values of the free world, humanism, respect for the history of his country, whatever it may be, and not turning it over for the sake of momentary political conjuncture, for Russia Vladimir Putin are "undesirable." Meanwhile, as the same Vladimir Kara-Murza wrote from the pre-trial detention center, there is not only Putin Russia, but also Russia Andrei Sakharov, even if it is now almost not visible. And you can only solidify with the fact that he said, speaking with the last word in court : "Even today, even in the darkness surrounding us, even sitting in this cage, I love my country and believe in our people. I believe that we can go this way."
