Leading Russian IT companies will sign a memorandum of responsible work in the market

Developers will be required not to increase the prices for software “above the reasonable level”.

According to the results of the meeting organized by the mincifre, the industry leaders agreed to comply with the principle of self -regulation of software prices. Companies will begin to publish relevant information about the maximum cost of products on the official marketplace of the Russian Russian software.

For a “unreasonable increase in prices”, developers can withdraw accreditation.

The ministry was not informed about who exactly attended the meeting. The IT leaders have not yet commented on new agreements.

Over the past year, many foreign corporations have left the Russian market, which has reduced competition. As a result, prices for domestic software rose 30-50%. Probably, the meeting was initiated after the request of large consumers to influence the situation.

The memorandum of responsible work is one of the measures taken by the government to support the IT industry. Earlier, the mincifres introduced a requirement according to which state -owned companies and state bodies should substantiate the need to purchase foreign software. This can only be done if in the register of domestic software there is no products that completely satisfy the customer's needs.
