The Basmanny District Court arrested until June 11 former policeman Ivan Rybin, accused under articles of violation of privacy and abuse of power. The corresponding card appeared on the website of the court, and Kommersant also writes about this, citing its own sources.
According to them, usually those accused under such articles are given milder measures of restraint, and Rybin's sent to a pre-trial detention center is explained by the fact that he is suspected of selling the personal data of Daria Dugina, who was killed in August last year.
Dugina’s name is mentioned several times in Rybin’s case, and the investigator explained the need for his detention by the fact that Rybin “had been in various positions in the Ministry of Internal Affairs for a long time, has special skills and knowledge in the field of conducting investigative actions” and “a significant amount of connections among employees law enforcement".
On August 21, 2022, the car of the well-known ideologist of the “Russian world” Alexander Dugin exploded on Mozhaisk Highway in Moscow, in which his daughter Daria was returning home from the Tradition festival near Moscow. As a result, Dugina died on the spot, and her father was not injured, as he was driving in another car.
Two days later, the FSB announced the disclosure of this crime. They claim that the explosion was organized by the Ukrainian special services, and the citizen of Ukraine Natalya Vovk, who then left for Estonia, became its direct perpetrator.
