According to the publication, new evidence obtained by the investigation indicates that the revolver used on the set was modified and could fire without pulling the trigger. Baldwin himself from the very beginning of the investigation claimed that he did not press him.

At the same time, the prosecutor's office noted that the new facts require further investigation, and did not rule out that Baldwin could again be charged.

The department also said that the charges against the gunsmith of the painting, who is also charged with manslaughter, remained in force. At the same time, the investigation has not yet been able to find out how live ammunition was loaded into the revolver used on the set.

This week it became known that the filming of the film Rust, which was suspended after the tragic incident, will be resumed. Both Baldwin himself and the wounded film director Joel Souza will continue to participate in the project. Also, the husband of the deceased Galina Hutchins, executive producer Matthew Hutchins, will return to work on the film.

In October, he reached a pre-trial settlement with Baldwin over a lawsuit he filed against him after his wife's death.
