DOXA editor Maria Menshikova was charged with justifying terrorism. The maximum penalty under this article is seven years in prison. Telegram channels ASTRA, Baza and Current Time write about this, citing their own sources.
According to the publications, the reason for initiating the case was a post on the DOXA page on VKontakte, in which readers were urged to subscribe to an anti-war mailing list and write letters to detainees for setting fire to military registration and enlistment offices. However, ASTRA notes that no author was identified in this publication.
Officially, the criminal case against Menshikova was not reported.
“The fascist regime has everything upside down: war is peace, freedom is slavery. And the main enemy of the Nazis is the solidarity of caring people, which is now equated with “terrorism”, ”Menshikova herself commented on the reports of the criminal case. She is currently in Germany.
In April 2022, the court found four DOXA journalists - Alla Gutnikova, Armen Aramyan, Vladimir Metelkin and Natalia Tyshkevich - guilty of involving minors in illegal activities and sentenced them to two years of corrective labor. In addition, the court forbade them to administer the sites for three years.
