The Bar Chamber of St. Petersburg intends to deprive the title of lawyer-the legendary Yuri Novolodsky

The other day, the case of the Vice President of the same chamber of Yuri Novolodsky was to be considered in the Bar Chamber of St. Petersburg. Some colleagues of Yuri Mikhailovich considered that he was not worthy of the title of lawyer.

The first statement with the charge of Yuri Novolodsky was publicly dissolving false information about the St. Petersburg advocacy, was received by the qualification commission of the lawyer chamber at the end of March. A few days later, another statement was received there with a similar wording, but already for other statements.

“According to the charter of the lawyer chamber, all such cases are considered closed by default,” said Alexander Meleshko, lawyer of Novolodsky. - Therefore, I cannot tell in detail about the statements: I will be accused of violating lawyer ethics. We filed a petition so that the consideration of the case was held in open mode, we have nothing to hide. But the leadership of the chamber does not want to take out the CRU from the hut.

Similar cases for the qualification commission, which, in addition to lawyers, include representatives of the Ministry of Justice and the judicial community, are not uncommon. But for the first time, such a case is initiated in relation to such a well -deserved lawyer.

L. ), who belittles the lawyer council,” Yuri Novolodsky told the online publication. - The great organizer of the Russian advocacy Vladimir Spasovich said: "Where there is no advice, there is no advocacy." Now in the St. Petersburg advocacy there is just such a situation.

Despite the fact that the contents of the statements of the lawyer’s chamber are trying secret, it became known that the second disciplinary case was based on the speeches of Novolodsky in the media and ... his verses.

“One of the vice-presidents of the Lawyer Chamber, like an employee of the EE Center, watched Internet resources and Nastal of statements, which he considered discrediting and fakes about the advocacy,” said the lawyer of the Novolodsky Meleshko. - Moreover, not only the interviews and comments of Yuri Mikhailovich were used in various media, but also his poems. The applicant considered that the satirical poem “The Tale of Tsar Eugene” discredits not only the lawyer's chamber of St. Petersburg, but also in general advocacy.

A meeting of the qualification commission was scheduled for April 20. It is noteworthy that on the same day a meeting in the Skolichenko case was held at the request to postpone the commission meeting in order to give Novolodsky the opportunity to speak in court, the lawyer chamber refused. But life made adjustments: the day before the court and a meeting of the commission, Yuri Novolodsky felt a strong malaise. Doctors diagnosed him with Covid-19.
