The president's press secretary Dmitry Peskov called denunciations a "disgusting" practice. He told journalists about this on the sidelines of the "Knowledge" marathon, Interfax reports.

The Kremlin representative was asked how he feels about the numerous denunciations that have become more frequent recently, including the denunciation of actor Danila Kozlovsky.

“As for denunciations, this has always been disgusting, and it is so, and I hope it will remain so,” Peskov said.

In early April, activist Vitaly Borodin filed a denunciation against Kozlovsky over an anti-war post the actor published on Instagram in February 2022, as well as his interview with Irina Shikhman, where the artist "called on citizens to come out to a rally." Borodin claims that Kozlovsky left for the United States, but after "losing his funds," he decided to return to Russia to "earn money again." TASS, citing a source, wrote that the Moscow prosecutor's office would conduct an investigation into the actor under the article on "discrediting" the army.
Kozlovsky himself said that he lives and works in Russia, and visits his daughter in the US. He also said that he did not call for protests, and that the words cited by the activist were spoken on the set of a historical series. He also filed a lawsuit against Borodin for the protection of his honor and dignity.
