The FSB demanded the arrest of a suspect of treason

The Lefortovo District Court of Moscow received a petition for the arrest of a Russian suspected of treason (Article 275 of the Criminal Code). The court file contains only the last name and initials of the person - Dovgan A.S.

According to Mediazona, information about the detainee appeared in the database on the evening of April 25, after the end of the court’s work at 18:00 Moscow time.

Full name unknown. According to Interfax, the Russian was arrested on April 25.

RIA Novosti and TASS claim that they got through to the court’s press service, but they did not provide data other than what was already on the card. At the same time, agencies decline the surname of the detained person in the masculine gender.

The courts do not disclose the plot of cases under the article on treason.

On April 18, the State Duma immediately, in the second and third readings, adopted amendments that will allow life imprisonment to be imposed in cases of treason. The bill has not yet been approved by Vladimir Putin, so the changes have not yet entered into force. According to current legislation, the article on treason provides for 12 to 20 years in prison.
