Presumably, the fire began today with the territory of the cemetery. This was announced about two in the afternoon by a local resident. A few hours later, the fire approached the local school and the “medical institution No. 23” (LIU) of the Federal Penitentiary Service of the Russian Federation. Employees evacuated all convicts (240 people), took out the archive and office equipment. In the local chat they asked high school students to help extinguish the fire from the school. But the fire was no longer stopped.
Due to strong winds and dry weather, the flame very quickly spread to residential buildings. The Chekist residential area almost completely burned out, where part of apartment buildings, as well as Moskovskaya Street, also burned down.
“The whole area is on fire,” Sergiy Mikhalev, rector of the Sosvinsky Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, told the Prososva publication. - And our house is on - we collect what we can. Here we stew on our own, and the fire parts - we can’t cope. All sheds, everything that was - everything was burned out. Our houses are stone, multi -apartment. Our house is in the middle, the balconies lit up, the roof is on. People here are mostly elderly. Someone has already taken away someone. I also took my kids, in our apartment, all the windows were praised from the fire. ”

The Ministry of Emergencies of Russia sent a Mi-8 helicopter to Sosva and a group of firefighters. Locals disassemble wooden fences so that the fire does not throw the fire to the next yard. People run with water buckets, trying to help a few firefighters. Sosva residents warned them to collect documents and valuable things.
Due to the strong smoke, the police blocked the “Serov-Sosva-Gary” highway. A group of doctors was sent to the village to provide emergency assistance. The victims have not yet been reported.
In total, six large -scale fires are blazing in the Sverdlovsk region today. Twenty -one private house burned down in the village of Tayzhny Verkhotursky district. They lost housing and people in Karpinsk.
The scale of the disaster has yet to be appreciated. So far, it is calculated that 50 houses are on, an emergency mode has been introduced in the region.
