The fashion designer Vyacheslav Zaitsev died. This was reported by Ren-TV , Mash and Baza with reference to sources, as well as Shot with reference to the relatives of the deceased.

Zaitsev was 85 years old. The exact cause of his death is not called. In recent years, Zaitsev had Parkinson's disease.

According to Mash, on the afternoon of April 30, the fashion designer was taken to the Schelkovo hospital with bleeding in the stomach, where he died a few hours later.

Vyacheslav Zaitsev is one of the most famous Russian fashion designers; Back in Soviet times, he received the nickname of Red Dior in the Western press. For decades, Zaitsev’s collections have been shown on prestigious shows around the world.
Zaitsev created costumes for the stars of the Soviet and Russian pop, skaters and Olympic delegations. He also worked on costumes for performances in numerous theaters in Moscow, musicals and television films. In 2007-2009, he conducted the program “Fashionable Sentence”.
Zaitsev was awarded the titles of the People's Artist of the Russian Federation and the academician of the Russian Academy of Arts, and was also awarded the Soviet Order of the Badge of Honor, the Russian Order for Merit to the Fatherland of the IV degree.
