Medvedev called for Zelensky to be “physically eliminated”

Deputy head of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev called for the "physical elimination" of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky after the Kremlin was attacked by two drones.

“After today’s terrorist attack, there are no options left,” Medvedev wrote on his Telegram channel, adding that the president “is not needed for the act of unconditional surrender of Ukraine.”

“Hitler, as you know, did not sign it either. There will always be some kind of replacement like the vice-president Admiral Doenitz,” Medvedev said.

  • On May 3, the press service of the President of the Russian Federation reported on the night attack of two drones on the Kremlin, calling it a terrorist attack and an attempt on Vladimir Putin. Russian authorities blamed Ukraine for the attack.
  • Ukrainian officials deny involvement in the drone attack. President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukraine "is not attacking either Putin or Moscow" because the country already lacks weapons to defend its territory, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine cannot "use them anywhere else."
