Rupia is not needed

The telegram channel “Chinese threat” writes why the calculation in national currencies in foreign trade will not be beneficial to Russia:

“Although the transition to mutual records in foreign trade in currencies of national economies is a new trend, it is not possible to replace the dollar perfectly. <...>

As you know, Russia reoriented exports from west to east, tries to work less with the dollar and the euro, and even negotiates with the new main partners to conduct calculations in national currencies.

But these relations are not balanced. Russia is much more exported by goods, works and services, which imports from partner countries. Such an “unequal” exchange leads to the fact that in the bank accounts of exporting companies, the inappropriate currency of different countries is accumulating.

<...> Now Russian oil companies occupy 30-40% of the Indian oil market, ahead of Saudi Arabia and the UAE. But the import of Indian goods is not comparable to Russian export. <...>

In such a situation, Russian banks accumulate a huge volume of rupees that are not particularly needed in the domestic currency market, since there are few Indian goods in Russia, and guys from the east cannot offer a lot so as not to violate the sanctions.

<...> It is almost impossible to buy goods, works and services in “friendly” countries for the received revenue. Paying China for imported equipment with rupees will also not work.

The only way out of this situation for Russia is the transition to an alternative currency in the form of a yuan. It is better converted and more useful for external mutuals with a huge Chinese market. ”
