The lake in the Nizhnekolymskaya tundra will receive a name in honor of Uluuro Ado (Gavril Nikolayevich Kurilov) - a Yukagir poet, writer, scientist and public figure. This was announced by the head of the Yukagir National Municipality Olerinsky Suktul Sergey Tretyakov at the festival in honor of the 85th anniversary of Uluuro Ado in his native village Andryushkino (Nizhnekolymsky ulus of Yakutia), the portal of the indigenous peoples of the North Ilken reports .

Gavril Kurilov was born in these places in 1938. According to official documents, his birthday is April 30, in fact, this happened a little earlier, in the middle of the month. Having graduated from elementary school in Hara-Tala and the seven-year-old in Andryushkino, having worked for two years with a shepherd on the Olevoad collective farm, in 1954, G. N. Kurilov enters the pedagogical school, and then, in 1958, became a student of the northern branch of the Leningrad State Pedagogical Institute named after A. I. Herzen.

Since the beginning of the 1960s, Gavril Kurilov began to publish poetry and prose. For his poetic creativity, he chose the pseudonym of Uluuro Ado, which means "the son of the Olerinsky tundra." In 1962, he graduated from the institute, then defended the candidate and doctoral dissertations on the Yukagir language. In the 1970s, he created writing for the Yukagir language and developed the rules of the Yukagir spelling. He also conducted programs in the Yukagir language and conducted Yukagir language lessons on the radio. He has prepared several textbooks of the Yukagir language, dictionaries, including the most complete Academic Yukagir-Russian dictionary, published in Novosibirsk in 2003.

Kurilov founded the Council of Elders of the Yukagir people, took an active part in the organization of the Yukagir communities "Chila" in Nizhnekolymsky and "Tek Odulok" in the Verkhnekolymsky districts, was a developer of the draft Law of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) "On the Suktul of the Yukagir People". He participated in the organization and conduct of the Congresses of Yukagirov. Now Uluuro Ado works as a chief researcher at the Institute of Humanitarian Research and the problems of the small peoples of the north of the SB RAS in Yakutsk.
