Peter Mamonov and "Sounds Mu"
"Airbus of Love" / 2023
On April 14, on the birthday of Mamonov (he could have turned 72 years old), he saw the light of the “Airbus of Love” - the new posthumous album of the leader of the “Sounds Mu” group. “This plate is a completely completed studio project - the observations of Peter Nikolaevich over the processes of the universe, reflection on the topic of human relations, communication with the creator, immersion in the world of favorite culinary recipes read under the guitar. The album is divided into three parts and is a collection of poetic and musical works, chamber numbers, recipes and another. Mamonov himself performed the design, after which he handed over the album to his wife Olga as a completely ready for the publication of the project, ”the press release said.
The musician himself explained the name of the record by the fact that “all together resembles a dream of the mind of a person who is wise on board the airbus that hears scraps of phrases, indulges in memories, reflects on his relations with the closest, gets rid of obsessive images that attack him in dreams.”
The album was recorded in the home studio of Pyotr Mamonov on the Foster's strip tape recorder. In complete inviolability, the sound that the author achieved, using a remote control once donated by Brian in Ino, has been preserved.
To begin with, I propose to see Peter Mamonov’s first monospace "Is there life on Mars?" - He walked from 1997 to 2001 on the stage of the Stanislavsky Theater. This is a free interpretation of the play by Anton Chekhov “Offer”.

Sleaford mods
UK Grim / 2023
The British duo Sleaford Mods is a rude vocalist Jason Williams and the silent endry Furn, who is responsible for the electronic postpage filling. For more than 15 years, this couple has been to the masses of its caustic criticism of the government, social dogmas and media noise. In March, the musicians presented their twelfth album: even more minimalist, gloomy and sharp. Nihilism and black humor in Jason's voice go on a flush with an empty knock of drama and synthetic bass. Imagination draws up the cloudy scenery of mired in the waste of cities and hypocritical politicians. Sleaford Mods draw a gloomy picture of post -shoe Britain, but their indignation is flavored with a portion of love for ordinary people and places where they live.
Florence sho, vocalist Dry Cleaning, as well as Perry Farrell and Dave Navarro from Jane's Addiction, lit up from the invited guests on the album.

ZVENTA Sventana
STARTANNENT SENTANE / 2023
Zventa Sventana is Tina Kuznetsova and Yuri Usachev (ex “Guests from the future”). Musicians rethink Russian folklore and adapt it for a modern listener. The project began as a trio along with the second vocalist Alena Romanova. Having gathered the material in the ethno-expedition in the villages of the North, the group released in 2006 the album “Suffering”, which was highly appreciated by Peter Gabriel from Genesis. After 2012, there was a long period of silence in connection with the participation of Tina in the Voice project. Alena went into solo creativity - Veronika Lileeva came to her place in 2017, and work on new material boiled.
In 2017, the second album was released-"There is no husband at home." Now the jazz arrangements of folk songs have given way to the rollback techno and other electronic vaibu, for which Yuri Usachev took responsibility. The title song from him was the collaboration of the same name with Ivan Dorn. Together with him, Zventa Sventana rethought a wedding song from the village of Rossoshka, Voronezh region. “In the ideal Russia of the future, it is precisely such songs that will be sent to“ Eurovision ” - this is how they described the album in the publication“ Kommersant ”. Then there was an album “On Mount Mac” of 2021 with the cyber-folk single of the same name, a video in which the heroine (Varvara Shmykova) eats an scarlet flower and meets the chthonic forces in the person of Tina Kuznetsova.
The group laid out its new album on the streaming platforms on April 12. The group members note that they were able to find songs from all over the country from north to south, trying to preserve both a specific dialect and an exotic song look for an unprepared listener. And the dance-electronic rhythm acted as a kind of unifying element that allows you to evaluate the beauty of songs to the widest circle of modern listeners, both familiar with the Russian ethnic and very far from it.
“Through the winter and night, life breaks through - poppies and roses, buds and herbs - and with them is hope for the spring. New cycle. Update ” - this is what I wanted to reflect in the cover of the new album. When I saw a Siberian carpet, I realized that he was addicting me and “this is it,” says the choice of design to the plate of Tina.

EVERYTHING BUT THE GILL
Fuse / 2023
After 24 years, the British electronic pop-duet returns with the touching album of velvet electronics. After the deafening success in the mid -nineties and the 1999 Temporantal album, the incomprehensible public, the Tescy Thorne and Ben Watt spouses preferred to engage in creativity separately, only occasionally releasing compilation under the EBTG brand. To the crazy joy of fans, in November last year, Trace announced the release of the 11th album for spring 2023. First, on January 10 of this year, the singles of Nothing Left To Lose came out, and on April 21, the Fuse record was seen.
Any doubt about whether it was worth returning to the duet is discarded along with the title song of Nothing Left to Lose. Kiss Me While The World Decays / Kiss Me While the Music Plays, - Torn sings as if 30 years have passed since the main hit of Ebtg Missing . Trace's voice is all the same warm, but there is sharpness in it because of a sense of longing, which seems to intensify with each listening. A beautiful song, perfectly fitting into the format of modern everyday life.
As the album is revealed, it becomes clear that EBTG does not just roll along the waves of past glory, but carefully experiment and, possibly, hint at what should be expected from the following albums, if they are. Subtle distortions of the voice of Trace are heard in places. Even if it is to mask the voice fatigue of Thorne (whether to return to the public after almost a quarter century at a sufficiently mature age), it looks organic and does not spoil the general impression. A worthy Cambet of the heroes of Chillaut of the nineties.

Metallica
72 Seasons / 2023
The release of the twelfth full -format album of legendary metallists from California. The branded sound of metallics includes: drums, heavy guitar riffs and thunderous bass.
Having won the crowds of new young fans with the help of the fourth season of “Very strange deeds”, the creators of the indestructible metal hits Enter Sandman and the Nothing Else Matters returned with a new album, which is dedicated to the first years of conscious life on the whole future fate. “Most of our adulthood is a reaction to the first 18 years of life - the same 72 seasons,” explains James Hetfield's new album of the Metallica frontman.
One of the main differences between Metallica in 2023 and 1983 is a topic that has changed dramatically since the time of the caricature and nihilistic days of Kill 'Em All and is now imprisoned on getting rid of personal demons, and not to playing their greatness.
In fact, it does not matter whether the song Metallica is well written. It is important that it gives a good kick in the ass and charges a drive.

Lonnie Holley
Oh me oh my / 2022
Lonnie Bradley Holley is an amazing fate of a person. Born in 1950 in the south of the United States during racial segregation, he was the seventh (out of 27) child in a poor Negro family. Lonny claims that he was exchanged for a bottle of whiskey when he was four. From the age of five, the boy worked in different works: he cleaned the garbage in the drive-in cinema, washed the dishes and cooked. And shortly before the start of his creative career - at 29 - he was engaged in digging graves and collection of cotton. Holly began his career as a visual artist in 1979, cutting out a tombstone in stone for two daughters of his sister. He put his first stone (mainly from sandstone) sculpture in his yard, later on the materials with which the artist worked, the objects found on landfills, in fact, were added. Thus, Holly introduced an environmental agenda in his work, and already in 1981 the sculptures were noticed and took their place in Birmingham Museum of Art. Soon his work was acquired by other institutions, such as the American Museum of Folk Art in New York and the High Museum of Arts in Atlanta. His work was also exhibited in the White House.
Holly's musical career began in 2006, when he made the improvisational notes of the vocals in the Alabama church, using only a synthesizer and a microphone. From 2012 to 2021, Holly recorded three albums, including joint with the American singer and arranger Matthew E. White.
On his new album, Oh me oh my, Lonny Holly worked with the star producer Jacknyph Lee. Several tracks on OH Me OH MY have the shape of embossed meditative lullabies.
