President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky imposed sanctions against almost 260 individuals and more than 700 legal entities. Both Russian citizens and companies, citizens and firms from other countries, including Ukraine itself, fell under the restrictions.

In total, Zelensky signed four decrees. One of them concerns "Zaporizhstali". The main shareholder of the enterprise is the financial group of a businessman Rinat Akhmetov. The “Zaporizhstal” procedure has been launched by confiscation of the share, which is allegedly belongs to the Russian side. “She will work for Ukraine and Ukrainians,” Zelensky wrote in Telegram.

In addition, the restrictions were affected by Russian enterprises, which, according to Kiev, are related to military industry. The sanctions list, in particular, included Roscosmos, the Central Research Institute of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Glonass, the Ivanovo Textile Company, the Belarusian firms Gomel Radio, Belaz and others.

Zelensky also signed a decree on the withdrawal of Ukraine from a memorandum on cooperation in the protection of state border with Moscow and Minsk and from an agreement with Russia on cooperation and interaction on border issues. Both documents were signed in 1994.
