A resident of the Nizhny Novgorod region was accused of rehabilitating Nazism due to the fact that he tore the St. George ribbon from the clothes of a teenager

The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case on the rehabilitation of Nazism against a resident of the city of Pavlov in the Nizhny Novgorod region because of the torn St. George ribbon. This was reported by the press service of the regional department of the Investigative Committee.

According to investigators, on May 11, a man saw a 17-year-old teenager with a St. George ribbon attached to his clothes. He approached the young man and asked to remove the ribbon, but was refused, after which he forcibly tore it off the minor and threw it to the ground.

In the actions of a resident of Pavlov, security forces saw signs of desecration of the symbols of Russia’s military glory (Part 3 of Article 354.1 of the Criminal Code). Baza writes that during the incident the man also called the teenager “Russian”.

According to the telegram channel Ni Mash , the victim was the son of a federal judge from Pavlov; he is studying in the 11th grade. The student first encountered a man on the evening of May 10 - then he rudely asked to remove the ribbon from his jacket, after asking the young man the question: “Do you support this?” Having received a refusal, the man threatened to remove the ribbon himself, after which the teenager pushed him away and ran away.

LIFE writes that at the same time an unknown person shouted “Glory to Ukraine, glory to America, Russia will rot.” The next day, as reported by Ni Mash , a resident of Pavlov waylaid a minor near a store, threw him to the ground, beat him, tore off the St. George ribbon and disappeared.
