The Oktyabrsky District Court of Murmansk sent a 19-year-old man accused in the case of arson of the regional military registration and enlistment office to a pre-trial detention center. This is reported on the court's website.

The young man is charged with committing a terrorist act (Part 1 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code). According to investigators, on the night of May 14, he set fire to the ground floor of the regional military registration and enlistment office building. After that, he tried to escape, but was detained by police officers.

Baza, without specifying a source , reported that the young man’s name is Shamil Aliyev-Gasanov. He, according to the telegram channel, broke the glass on the ground floor of the building, poured an incendiary mixture onto the window frame and set it on fire. The fire burned down furniture and equipment in the social security office.

During interrogation by security forces, Baza writes, Aliyev-Hasanov admitted guilt and said that he committed the arson due to death threats and blackmail from an anonymous person on the Internet, and not because of anti-war beliefs. The court's press release states that after setting the fire, the young man threw away the canister and lighter, thereby “taking measures to destroy evidence of the crime.”
