Representatives of the Telegram messenger confirmed that the application on macOS has a vulnerability with which attackers can gain access to the user's camera and microphone.

The problem is only possible when using an App Store version of the app on a Mac that is infected with malware, the company said in a tweet in response to a user's comment about the vulnerability.

Telegram representatives emphasized that an update with a fix is ​​already under consideration by Apple, and the problem does not apply to applications downloaded from the Telegram website.
