Russia has dealt a new blow to Ukraine. Explosions occurred in Nikolaev

In many regions of Ukraine, including Kyiv, an air raid alert was announced on the evening of May 16.

In Nikolaev, according to eyewitnesses , two explosions occurred. After the missile strikes, fires started, said the head of Nikolaev, Alexander Senkevich. The fire at one facility has been localized, said the head of the Nikolaev region, Vitaly Kim. According to him , one local resident has a shrapnel wound.

Update. As a result of a missile strike on Nikolaev on the evening of May 16, a shopping center, a car dealership, private houses and shops were damaged, Kim said . A hit to an industrial infrastructure facility was recorded. According to preliminary data, one person was injured.

Ukrainian media reported that the attack involved attack drones and missiles. A threat of attack on the Zaporozhye , Khmelnytsky and Donetsk regions is reported.

The head of the office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Ermak, called on Ukrainians not to remove the operation of air defense systems.

• On the night of May 16, Russia launched a massive missile attack on Kiev. The Ukrainian Armed Forces stated that they shot down all the drones and missiles, including six Kinzhal missiles.
