The Kirovsky District Court of Ufa arrested Bashkir activist Ramilya Saitova for two months in the case of calls to anti-state activities for a video message to the mobilized, published in November 2022 .
In the video, she suggests that those mobilized not kill people in Ukraine, but go home. The investigation found in the video calls for “desertion with weapons entrusted in service.”
The activist was detained this afternoon. According to OVD-Info, Saitova was detained by FSB and Ministry of Internal Affairs officers. The publication “Proof” wrote that the woman was “taken from her home.”
In November 2021, the court sentenced her to three years in a settlement colony in the case of conscription extremism for videos on YouTube in which, according to Saitova, it was not her, but a woman similar to her. Taking into account the term of imprisonment in a pre-trial detention center, the activist was released in August 2022.
