The court arrested a St. Petersburg resident for two days for allegedly participating in a meeting of FC Zenit fans.

The Dzerzhinsky District Court of St. Petersburg arrested local resident Roman Alekseev for two days, finding him guilty of organizing a mass simultaneous stay of citizens (part 1 of article 20.2.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). this in a telegram . reports The joint press service of the city courts

According to the court, on May 13, Alekseev took part in a meeting of at least 1,500 fans honoring the Zenit football club and went out onto the roadway during the event. As follows from the press service, this resulted in “negative consequences”: pedestrian traffic was disrupted, access to public transport stops and traffic along Nevsky Prospekt and Palace Embankment were hindered.

Alekseev himself at the meeting explained that he did not take part in the meeting of fans, but walked with his wife along Palace Embankment and drank beer. The court was not satisfied with these arguments. He appointed Alekseev two days of arrest and released him taking into account the time of detention.
