Russia has launched its ninth massive missile strike on Ukraine since early May. Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny announced this on his telegram channel. He noted that the Ukrainian air defense forces managed to shoot down 29 missiles out of 30, as well as two attack and two reconnaissance drones.
Most of the missiles fired by the Russian military attacked Kyiv, but there the air defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine managed to completely repel the attack. According to the city authorities, fragments of downed rockets fell in the Desnyansky and Darnitsky districts of the city, in the latter the greatest damage was recorded - a fire started there on the territory of the garage cooperative.
The head of the administration of Kyiv, Sergei Popko, called the May strikes on the Ukrainian capital "unprecedented in their power, intensity and diversity."
On the night of March 18, Odessa was also subjected to rocket fire from Russia. One of the missiles hit an industrial facility, Sergei Bratchuk, a spokesman for the region's military administration, said. As a result, one person died and two others were injured.
