On May 19, the Leninsky District Court of Makhachkala sentenced local resident Abdulmumin Abdulmuminov to one year and eight months in prison in the case of organizing the activities of At-Takfir Val-Hijra. This is reported by the online publication "Makhachkala News".
Abdulmuminov will serve his term in a general regime colony. At the same time, the man was given an additional punishment in the form of restriction of freedom and a ban on leading positions in public organizations for "almost four years," Kavkazskiy Uzel reports , citing a publication by the press service of the court.
The resident of Makhachkala is accused of organizing the activities of an extremist religious association (part 1 of article 282.2 of the Criminal Code). According to investigators, in 2014 Abdulmuminov organized the activities of the At-Takfir Val-Hijra organization in Dagestan, within which he promoted its ideas and recruited new members.
According to the card file of the Leninsky District Court, the case against Abdulmuminov was considered three times. At the same time, the sentences following the results of the first two trials were cancelled.
