Students from Tajikistan complained to the Khabarovsk riot police for mass beaten

Students from Tajikistan reported that more than 100 of them were beaten by the Khabarovsk riot police. They do not know what is the reason for the cruel attitude. Komsomolsky-on-Amur State University, where young people study, denied information about beating. This was reported by Radio Ozodi on May 23.

A group of Tajik students studying at the University of Knagu in Komsomolsk-on-Amur reported that on May 19, the FSB and OMON had broken into the hostel. The security forces allegedly turned off the surveillance cameras and began to beat students.

“The employees were in masks and were armed with pistols and electric shock -cookers, as well as in their hands they had tactical gloves with special inserts on their fingers similar to brass knuckles. Anyone who asked why they were beaten, received an additional blow, ”one of the students who asked for anonymity quoted Radio Ozodi.

According to students, some victims required an operation. After the raid, students were allegedly built in the corridor and began to check the documents. Sixes were taken for interrogation. Tajik students cannot explain the reason for the actions of the security forces. Young people claim that they called the Tajik Embassy in Russia and turned for help.

The University-on-Amur said that information about the mass beating of students from Tajikistan is not true. According to representatives of the institution, law enforcement agencies conducted the audit "correctly and within the framework of the law." They argue that four foreign students tried to prevent the security forces from "performing their duties." This attempt "was suppressed by representatives of law enforcement agencies."

On what basis the security forces conducted the audit, how exactly the students' actions were stopped and what they tried to do, the university did not report.

In May 2023, the inhabitants of Novosibirsk demanded to tighten the migration policy of Russia. They believe that migrants kill them, and the trays of visitors in the markets are the base of Islamic extremism.

The governor of the Kaluga region Vladislav Shapsha announced the fight against migrants. He proposed to oblige migrants to live five years in Russia and only then give citizenship to their relatives. Shapsha has already limited the opportunity for foreigners to work in public catering, transport and trade and promised to reduce the number of patents allowing migrants to come to the region.
