Reuters: the Novosibirsk scientist was accused of transferring data to China

The reason for the criminal case against the Novosibirsk scientist, the creator of the hypersonic missiles of Alexander Shiplyuk was the charge of transferring secret materials to China. It is reported by Reuters with reference to their own sources, familiar with business.

Reuters interlocutors claim that the security forces suspected Shiplyuk in the transfer of documents during a scientific conference in China in 2017. The scientist himself insists that the information in question is in the public domain - on the Internet.

The FSB, which is engaged in the affairs of the Stateizer, did not give the agency the comments in the Shiplyuk case. On criminal cases under this article there is a “secret” vulture, information about them does not apply, representatives of the defense do not have the right to comment on them.

Alexander Shiplyuk - Director of the Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. He is one of the three scientists of this scientific organization, the persecution of which "for the Stateizer" has become known over the past year. They also arrested the chief researcher of the Institute Anatoly Maslov and the founder of the laboratory "Aerogazodynamics of Great Speeds" Valery Zvegintsev. All three were associated with the development of hypersonic missiles.

In support of the arrested scientists, their colleagues published a collective letter. They stated that against the backdrop of the actions of investigators, critically important areas of research necessary for creating new equipment are already closing, because employees are afraid to engage in such research. What is happening threatens the catastrophe of domestic aerodynamics, scientists believe.

The press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov on Wednesday told reporters that the Kremlin does not see the trends in the arrests of scientists, and that the special services are performing their function - "control the situation for possible cases related to the betrayal of the homeland."
