On May fifth, the World Health Organization announced the end of the Pandemia of Coronavirus. The head of the Tedros Gebreisus said that the Covid-19 is no longer an "emergency situation in the field of public healthcare." But the victory over Pandemia is one, and the victory of medical workers over officials is completely different: some Russian doctors still continue to sue “covid” payments.
Tamara Sh. Works as a nurse in the clinic of the city hospital No. 2 of Yekaterinburg. In February last year, the woman fell ill with coronavirus, which was confirmed laboratory. The employer confirmed the fact of contact of the health worker with the patient with a confirmed diagnosis of Covid-19.
According to the presidential decree “On the provision of additional insurance guarantees to certain categories of medical workers”, Tamara Sh. Had the right to a single payment in the amount of 68,811 rubles. Documents for payment were sent to the branch of the Pension and Social Insurance Fund of the Russian Federation in the Sverdlovsk region, but returned back in connection with the end of the temporary provision on payments.
The nurse went to court. In addition to the insurance payment, she asked to recover legal expenses from the local branch of the Fund and compensate for moral damage. It was estimated symbolically - 5000 rubles.
The defendant objected to the lawsuit, referring to the expiration of the deadlines. He noted that the meeting of the medical commission for the investigation of the insured event was held during the period of the temporary position, but the documents were sent to the fund when its action was already terminated. And therefore they did not consider them.
The employer was summoned to the court - and the representative of the hospital explained that the long execution of medical documents was caused by the difficulty of investigating the insured event: I had to study the medical documentation of a large number of patients to establish a source of infection.
By the decision of the Leninsky District Court of Yekaterinburg, they partially satisfied the lawsuit.
A one -time insurance payment in the amount of 68,811 rubles, 3 thousand rubles of compensation for non -pecuniary damage and 15 thousand rubles of legal costs was recovered from the fund.
The defendant did not agree with such a decision and made an appeal to the Sverdlovsk Regional Court, where all the payments were in force, excluding only compensation for non -pecuniary damage.
According to WHO, the pandemic took the lives of 20 million people, and the number of identified cases of infection with coronavirus reached 765.2 million. First of all, medical workers were hit by the pandemic.
