The administration of St. Petersburg organized a competition for a large-scale campaign to promote contract service and allocated 172 million rubles for this. According to Fontanka , the competition was won by several urban outdoor advertising operators. Now, thousands of stickers, leaflets and posters advertising service in the Russian army will appear in St. Petersburg, as well as audio advertising and even a special Internet mailing list.
According to the media plan of the St. Petersburg authorities, in the summer the advertising service under the contract will be placed on more than 700 city pedestals, screens and displays. 553 relevant billboards will also be installed. To advertise service in the army, 1,500 stickers will be printed in the subway, which will be installed in the cars. Audio advertising will be launched at each subway station.
It is also planned to place a reminder of the contract service on 1800 screens in trams and trolleybuses. 10 posters will be hung at five railway stations in the city, one at four bus stations and 20 more at Pulkovo Airport. Petersburg polyclinics will hang 168 banners. In addition, posters are planned to be placed on every fourth residential building.
The St. Petersburg authorities plan to spend another six million rubles on an information campaign on the Internet. From July 1 to November 30, adult residents of St. Petersburg will be shown advertisements about guarantees and benefits for military personnel under the contract. According to Fontanka, we are talking about 30 million impressions on Yandex Direct and 25 million on Vkontakte.
Among other things, the authorities plan to send monthly letters with information about service in the Russian army to 20 city media. Thematic events for the press will be held twice a month in St. Petersburg. City media will release about 500 informational materials about this every month.
It is also planned to inform Petersburgers about contract service at city and regional events. At the Ice Cream Festival held in St. Petersburg last weekend, 20,000 relevant leaflets were to be handed out, and at the concert “Classics on Dvortsovaya” in honor of the City Day – 3,000. It is also planned to distribute leaflets at the entrances to the central metro stations.
Mobile information points will be installed at city sports events, for example, at a martial arts festival, an athletic race, as well as at hockey and football matches, where you can immediately enlist in the army.
