The Supreme Court of Dagestan approved the sentence of Adam Gadzhiev, a participant in the protest against mobilization; the relevant information is indicated in the case file.

In February, a man was sentenced to one and a half years in prison under the article on the use of non-life-threatening violence against a government official (Part 1 of Article 318 of the Criminal Code).

He has been in pretrial detention since September 28, 2022.

On September 21, Vladimir Putin announced a “partial” mobilization, after which Sergei Shoigu ordered the conscription of 300 thousand people into the army. Protest movements immediately responded to this - “Vesna” and supporters of Alexei Navalny called for protests against the president’s decision. On the same day, more than 1,300 people were detained in 40 cities. The next major protest took place on September 24, where at least 840 people were detained .
Mass protests also took place in Dagestan in connection with the announcement of mobilization. About 100 people were detained in Makhachkala on September 25, and approximately the same number of people were detained the next day in Khasavyurt and Makhachkala. To disperse the protests, security forces used stun guns, batons and pepper spray.
