Exactly two years ago, we dismissed the Open Russia. The Federal Council of the organization included 13 people. I was the only one who abstained when voting, because I considered this decision absolutely meaningless.
Mikhail Khodorkovsky argued the decision to dissolve by the fact that so we will protect members of the organization from political persecution.
The next day I flew from Russia.
A few days later, the executive director of the open Russia Andrei Pivovarov was removed from the flight to Warsaw. He received 4 years in colony. Vladimir Kara-Murza, who was also part of the Federal Council of Open Russia, was sentenced to 25 years in prison.
Almost all members of the Council of the loose organization are now abroad. Criminal cases have been instituted for someone, someone is assigned the status of a foreign agent.
