Rostelecom drew up a protocol on LGBT “propaganda” among children for distributing the film “As Alive” with kisses of two men

The Smolninsky District Court of St. Petersburg received materials from an administrative case under the article on “LGBT propaganda” among minors (Part 2 of Article 6.21.2 of the Administrative Code) in relation to Rostelecom. According to the press service of the city courts, Roskomnadzor drew up a report against the provider because of scenes with kisses between two men in the film “Like Alive,” posted on the Wink platform .

Roskomnadzor, however, claims that its employees discovered two scenes in the “As Alive” tape with “men kissing in a sexual context” two weeks earlier, on February 14.

The supervisory authority adds that the film was distributed with an age restriction of “16+”. Similar claims from the department were raised by the films “Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason,” “Curse of Chucky” and “The Barber of England,” which allegedly also demonstrate “non-traditional sexual relationships.” However, there is no information about drawing up protocols on “LGBT propaganda” for them.

On Friday, June 2, a court in St. Petersburg fined the online cinema “Tricolor Cinema and TV” one million rubles under the protocol on “LGBT propaganda” among children for the film “The English Barber” with an age limit of “16+”. It, according to Roskomnadzor, “depicts two characters of the same sex (female) kissing in a sexual context.”

In May, Mediazona drew attention to several similar protocols drawn up for online services. Among them were Premier , Start , and Megafon. Also, an administrative case was opened against the legal entity of several TV channels, DotDTechnology LLC. Another protocol was drawn up for the distribution film company “Russian Report”.

The press service of Roskomnadzor told TASS that a total of 19 protocols were filed against Russian online cinemas under the article on “LGBT propaganda” among minors.
