A report was drawn up against a Left Front member because of a song on VKontakte.

A protocol was drawn up against Samara deputy and Left Front member Mikhail Abdalkin on the dissemination of extremist materials (Article 20.29 of the Administrative Code). This was reported by the SOVA information and analytical center.

The protocol was drawn up on May 19, 2023, at the Novokuibyshevsk police department. The reason was the publication of the composition of the group “Electric Partisans” “Star and Automatic (RAF)” on VKontakte.

In March, Mikhail Abdalkin, a deputy of the Samara Provincial Duma from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, was fined 150 thousand rubles under the article on discrediting the army because of a video in which he listened to Vladimir Putin’s address to the Federal Assembly, having made a fool of himself. In February 2021, the deputy was arrested for 5 days because of a picket in support of his colleague in the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, deputy of the Penza City Duma Alexander Rogozhkin. In the special detention center, Abdalkin went on a hunger strike.

• "Left Front" is a social movement uniting supporters of socialist development. In 2008, politicians Sergei and Anastasia Udaltsov and Heydar Dzhemal took part in the creation of the organization. Members of the “Left Front” organize various actions, and therefore face pressure from the authorities.
• “Electric Partisans” is a group founded by former DDT member Vadim Kurylev. The Partizan leader previously spoke out in support of those involved in the Network case . In 2020, the Ministry of Justice, by decision of the Penza Railway Court, added two songs of the group - “Left Terror” and “Star and Automatic (RAF)” - to the list of extremist materials. The regional prosecutor's office asked the court to recognize the songs as extremist.
• The Red Army Faction (RAF, RAF) is a German left-wing terrorist organization that operated in Germany and West Berlin in 1968–1998. Its participants viewed their activities as an urban guerrilla war directed against the state apparatus and the bourgeois class. The RAF logo is a red star with a submachine gun in the background.
