Baza reports that the deceased was a 23-year-old native of the Arkhangelsk region, Vladimir Popov. The agency, citing a source , clarifies that the deceased was not a tourist, but a relocant. He recently moved to Egypt with his father.
After the deadly attack, local authorities closed all the beaches of Hurghada.
Telegram channel Mash claims that the shark was able to swim so close to the shore due to the fact that recently protective nets were removed in the area, which prevent large marine predators from entering the swimming areas.
