An ex-FSB officer who spoke about “controlled terrorist attacks” was arrested in Kaliningrad

A court in Kaliningrad has arrested former FSB officer Emran Navruzbekov for 10 days for "petty hooliganism", who had previously spoken about the crimes of the special services. This is reported by the Vot Tak publication, referring to Navruzbekov's wife Irina.

According to her, the police gave Navruzbekov a smoke and contact with his family. A lawyer is due to visit him today.

On the eve of Navruzbekov, he was deported from Poland, where he has been since 2017 and twice asked for political asylum. Both applications were rejected, and in May the Polish police detained him for allegedly "aggressive behavior." Navruzbekov himself claims that he was detained on his way to work from a refugee camp.

After his arrest, a Polish court banned him from entering the EU countries and ordered him to be deported to his homeland. Navruzbekov's lawyers managed to file an emergency complaint with the European Court of Human Rights, in which they indicated that he could face death in Russia. However, the Polish authorities deported Navruzbekov without waiting for the decision of the ECtHR.

Until 2017, Navruzbekov worked for the FSB in the North Caucasus. And then he fled to Poland through Belarus with his wife and children.

In December 2022, he gave an interview to the founder of the human rights project Gulagu.net Vladimir Osechkin, in which he spoke about the crimes of the special services. In particular, according to him, the FSB, through people under its control, organizes "controlled terrorist attacks" and shoots innocent citizens, and then passes it off as "liquidation of terrorists."

In addition, Navruzbekov said that intelligence officers "planted drugs and weapons on people, participated in torture and falsification of criminal cases against innocent people as revenge for refusing to cooperate."

Navruzbekov later said that the Polish security forces detained him shortly after he handed over 500 closed files to Osechkin for the Hague Tribunal.
