Roskomnadzor blocked the sites of Davydov’s “20 ideas” and the projects of the Ukrainian journalist Gordon

Roskomnadzor blocked the site “20 ideas for the development of Russia” by businessman Dmitry Davydov and the sites “Academy” and “Gordon Boulevard” by Ukrainian journalist Dmitry Gordon. This was reported by the Roskomsvoboda project.

All three sites were blocked at the request of the Ministry of Justice; this was the first time the department had made such a blocking decision. The reason for including sites in the registry of prohibited sites is unknown. Roskomsvoboda emphasizes that the “20 Ideas” website was added to the register retroactively.

• According to Roskomsvoboda, as of February, for reasons of military censorship, Roskomnadzor has already blocked more than 10 thousand sites. In total, in 2022, 247,492 thousand Internet resources were added to the register of prohibited sites. “After the start of the ‘special military operation’, we strengthened our counteraction to the spread of calls for extremism and terrorism, mass unrest and ‘fake’ news on the Internet,” Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov previously stated in an interview with Kommersant. It is by decision of the Prosecutor General’s Office that sites are often included in the register of prohibited sites.
