Lawyer Safiye Shabanova added that later Mensitov's phone was turned off, since then nothing is known about him, except that a car similar to the car of a Crimean Tatar was seen near the shopping center.
In September 2021, Mensitov’s house was searched in connection with the case of sabotage on the gas pipeline near Perevalnoye. Then he was detained and taken to the FSB in Simferopol, but later released.
