The UN is ready to send a mission to the occupied bank of the Dnieper, but is waiting for security guarantees from Russia, said Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba.
On the Ukrainian-controlled right bank, the UN and the Red Cross are already delivering humanitarian aid.
“The mission has been formed, they have sent a request for security guarantees to Ukraine and Russia. Ukraine immediately provided such guarantees. Russia has not yet provided an answer,” Kuleba said.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky criticized the UN and the Red Cross for not responding quickly enough to the disaster in the Kherson region after the destruction of the Kakhovka hydroelectric station.
