“In those territories where the armed forces are standing, they ensure security, of course, they (conscripts. - approx. Ed.) There are present there, and therefore, in the event of a threat, they must fulfill their sacred duty to the homeland and protect the Fatherland,” Putin said.
He also added that the conscripts were attacked from the Ukrainian side. “I was talking with the commander of the battalion who fought in the Belgorod direction. I asked him how many mobilized you have, and how many recruits. He says - all conscripts. No mobilized, in general. Battalion commander! I ask: “How did the guys behave?” Brilliantly! No one trembled. In general, no one trembled, ”the president said. At the same time, he noted that there is no need to send conscripts to war.

Putin for the first time confirmed that he signed decrees on the pardon of prisoners - participants in the war. He also admitted that there are relapses after the Wagnerians who conquered are returning from Ukraine, and believes that these cases should be punished by law.
